Innovation management

The innovation strategy seeks to materialize the Klabin Aspiration by acting on the following pillars:  

• People & Sustainability, which prioritizes the prosperity of the planet and its people;  

• Operational Excellence, which generates value for investors, employees, and partners;  

• Responsible Innovative Solutions designed for multi-use, renewable and biodegradable purposes that inspire the choices of the end user.  

The innovation process is governed by the Corporate Innovation Committee, made up of Directors who decide on key actions and define the projects. In addition to the Committee, there are Committees focused on their businesses to determine local initiatives.  

R&D and Innovation initiatives use a series of collaboration mechanisms such as: pitch days to attract startups, launching of open challenges, partnerships with universities and research centers, intrapreneurship initiatives, and projects with customers and suppliers.
